Ted Connell founded Connell Brothers in 1946 after returning from WWII.  After several years as a successful used car operation on Gray street (where Union State Bank now stands), Ted Connell purchased the Chevrolet Franchise from Carl Manning in 1955. Ted moved the Dealership to 10th Street and HWY 190.  In 1962 a new building was built just outside the Fort Hood gate on HWY 190 and Fort Hood Street.  Connell Chevrolet became a landmark at that location for over 40 years. 

After the death of Ted Connell in 2001, his wife Diane became dealer principal and in August of 2003 moved Connell Chevrolet to its new location at 1802 E. Central Texas Expressway.  

One thing that has never changed is the pride we have for our Soldiers, their families and our wonderful town.  We invite you to come on by and experience what so many Central Texans have...our legendary commitment to outstanding customer service.
